Quite simply, there is nothing better than cuddling up with a warm blanket, a good book, while sitting next to the fireplace with a hot cup of coffee. Did I just paint the picture of your dreams? Let’s face it, as a mom we don’t get to sit peacefully for hours on end, cuddled up with a good book and a delicious cup of coffee, but a gal can dream, right?! You may be wondering what has me dreaming of a winter wonderland of all things beautiful and peaceful. I can put your curiosity to rest with one word. PUMPKIN! This pumpkin spice coffee creamer is not only dairy free, it is quite simply delicious. Literally, it’s hard to only have one cup of coffee with this heavenly flavor. That’s right, I’m an avid coffee fan and there is nothing I love more first thing when I wake up then a good, flavorful cup of coffee. Where are my other coffee loving mommas at? Enjoy this fun twist on the non dairy creamer that is already on the blog!
As funny as it sounds, the pumpkin puree that goes in everything this time of year gives everything a gritty texture. And I am not a fan. At all. The essential oils are such a robust flavor that give all the pumpkin spice vibes without any of the spices or pumpkin puree that can cause that unpleasant texture!
Let’s talk about why this is a healthier choice than so many other sugar filled options out there this time of year.
This dairy-free pumpkin spice creamer with REAL ingredients steps in as a fantastic, cost effective alternative.
Here’s why dairy-free pumpkin spice creamer is a great addition to your kitchen:
-
Lactose-Free: Dairy-free creamers are perfect for those with lactose intolerance or dairy allergies, allowing them to enjoy the flavors of fall without discomfort or causing inflammation..
-
Lower in sugar: The average pumpkin spice latte from a coffee shop can have upwards of 50g of sugar. Sugar in our diet is its own blogpost, but starting out the day with 50g of sugar could easily lead to many challenges in the day like imbalanced blood sugar or feeling sluggish in the afternoon.
-
Cost effective: We know that a trip to the coffee shop every day can add up quickly. Making your own coffee at home can help save money which is something that more and more families are working towards!
-
Customizable: You can adjust the sweetness and flavor intensity to your liking, creating a personalized fall beverage or dessert.
Here are some of the heroes of this real food, nutritious coffee creamer recipe.
doTERRA Essential Oils: Cinnamon Bark, Wild Orange, and Clove, natural sweeteners, and dairy free milk.
doTERRA is a well-respected brand known for its high-quality essential oils derived from pure and sustainable sources. Among their vast range of essential oils, three stand out as perfect companions for your fall-inspired recipes:
-
Cinnamon Bark: Cinnamon bark essential oil not only adds a rich, warm flavor to your dishes but also offers various health benefits. It is known for its ability to support a healthy immune system, promote circulation, and provide a comforting aroma that evokes the essence of fall.
-
Wild Orange: Wild orange essential oil brings a burst of citrusy goodness to your recipes. Its vibrant and uplifting scent can help elevate your mood, reduce stress, and provide a refreshing twist to traditional fall flavors.
-
Clove: Clove essential oil adds a hint of spice and depth to your dishes. It is renowned for its cleansing properties and can support oral health, making it an excellent addition to your fall treats.
- Maple syrup and coconut sugar: These natural sweeteners can give that subtle sweetness without spiking blood sugar. I love the blending of the two sweeteners to get a depth of flavor instead of being overpowered by one sweetener.
- Dairy free milks: I’ve found that when I try to make anything creamy, nut milks tend to be too thin and can have a bit of a bitter flavor. Coconut milk by itself is too overpowering and heavy. When you blend the two, it’s a great mix of creaminess without being too thick!
